SUMMARY

 

To coordinate assessment of testing programs which assist the district in improving instruction and increasing student achievement. To plan, develop and coordinate research, analysis, measurement, and reporting of data and other critical information for testing and programs in order to provide high quality, well-focused support for the highest academic achievement priorities set by the district for the campuses.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from regulatory agencies, administrators, education board, faculty, parents, students and the community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to members of the board of trustees, administrators, principals, staff, students, and general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITIES

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mid-Management/Principal Certificate

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to use databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software. Must have the technical skills related to testing, research, and planning needs.
